Session: “Belonging” is Contributing to the Playlist
Do you remember what it was like to be in elementary school, how it felt when your work was displayed on the walls or when your views were discussed during class in a supportive, inclusive way? Do you recall those moments in school when you had the most fun? There’s a lot to be learned about the idea of Belonging from spaces where there’s a culture of learning.
After a recent rise in social justice-based movements around the world, organizations have been hunkering down on ensuring their DEI initiatives nurture and support their talent. Despite a host of organizations taking action to strengthen such programs, many still have room to grow. So how can organizations inject Belonging into their programs? What happens when organizations foster a culture of learning? This presentation will anchor the audience in a fun example to highlight the meaning and importance of Belonging as it relates to DEI.
