Ionic at All Things Open 2022

Ionic is a SDK for building mobile apps with web technologies. Since the very beginning of Ionic development, we’ve been helping web developers build amazing mobile apps and engage in their first open source contribution. We’re thrilled to be a part of All Things Open this year and can’t wait to see everyone there. We’ll have two sessions at this year’s rendition that we hope you’ll be able to attend.

There are many ways to contribute to an open source project without writing a single line of code. For contributors, identify ways you can impact a project without diving into the codebase. For maintainers, learn how to make your project no-code friendly to encourage contributions of all kinds and broaden your community of contributors.

Ok, so you want to build an app that can be fast, performant, and keep your users coming back for more? Think you need to reach for native? Think again! The Web is an amazing platform that offers developers a lot of ways to build amazing experiences. The only problem is…it requires some tricks to get the experience to not be terrible. So, if native is so great at performance, how can we make the web compete?
Let’s take a look at an app that comes with every iOS device and see what features set it apart from your standard web app. Then, with a minimal rebuild of this app, we’ll add UX details that are not only performant, but also make users want to use your app.
The Featured Blog Posts series will highlight posts from partners and members of the All Things Open community leading up to the conference in the fall.
