Session: Full Stack Developer Experience: Grow your developer community by building an open and easy to use platform
Ensuring developers enjoy using your platforms is becoming more and more critical for application developers. If it isn’t easy to integrate with, get telemetry from, or extract information out of, it is very likely that users will move on and try something new. On the other hand, if you can reduce or remove points of friction, you are more likely to attract and retain developers to use your platform. However, building an open, scalable, easy to use platform requires a lot of focus.
In this session, I will talk about a wide range of developer experience areas to consider when building your applications, and how they can all be brought together under the umbrella of a Developer Experience team to ensure great results. I’ll talk through some examples that we have experienced at Cisco, such as having a broad range of solutions from multiple engineering groups, as well as from acquisitions. I will give some examples of how we partner with those teams to improve their overall developer experience.
