OpenUK is the UK organisation for the business of Open Technology, being open source software, open hardware and open data. It’s purpose is UK leadership and global collaboration in Open Technology and it represents everyone working in and around Open Technology in the UK. It’s work follows three pillars, Community, Legal and Policy and Learning. It’s best known for its Kids Camps teaching digital skills and open source software, openuk.uk/kidscamp, it’s State of Open Surveys and Reports, openuk.uk/stateofopen and its work in Sustainability with the first Open Technology for Sustainability Day taking place at COP26 in Scotland in 2021 and the Second being held in Wales in October 2022. It brings together an amazing group of leadership in Open Technology with its Entrepreneur in Residence and Founders Forum mentoring and teaching potential UK star ups and leaders.
