Shane is a software developer specializing in application networking technologies based on open source projects such as Istio, Envoy and WebAssembly. He currently leads the engineering team for Solo.io’s Gloo Mesh product. Originally born in Ireland and raised in Cork, Shane has worked in various roles in Cork, London, and most recently Boston, where he currently lives with his wife and son. When not at work, he enjoys attending tech meetups, meeting new people, and working on fun side projects. In the winter you can find him on the slopes of the northeast USA, and in the summer you’ll find him tinkering with quadcopters and homebrewing.
