Katie Sanders
Katie Sanders is the Content and Community Manager for The Enterprisers Project, seeking contributors who have expertise that can be shared with an audience of CIOs and IT leaders. She has always been interested in building relationships and connecting people, even before she knew what a community manager was. In her current role, she nurtures a large existing community of writers and actively seeks out new contributors for The Enterprisers Project, supported by Red Hat. Her ability to curate quality thought leadership and insights provides her community of readers with actionable advice they can implement in their own organizations.
A thriving community doesn’t grow without thoughtfulness, advocacy and intention. The community she is currently building gives her access to a reliable group of PR experts and provides exposure opportunities for executives plus takeaways for the larger IT community.
Prior to Red Hat, Katie worked at a leading B2B Tech PR agency for over a decade, supporting technology clients through media relations, content and event support, social media, and more. This communications background ended up being the perfect experience for a role in community management. She learned how to build trust in professional relationships.
She studied theater and sociology in college, and although she often thinks she’s not using her degree, she wouldn’t have a love of community without first experiencing the tight-knit theater community, as well as the interest in understanding social groups (er… communities!).
She lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband, their adorable son, and Soup (dog) + Tuna (cat), where she loves adding to her tiny jungle of plants, tasting and making cocktails, and dancing whenever the opportunity presents itself. One of her unique talents is always knowing the best things to order from a menu.
